Space Redesign and Planning

The designer cleverly integrated functional planning with aesthetic design, breathing new life into the previously outdated layout. A minimalist-style shoe cabinet was installed near the entrance, featuring perforated doors for ventilation. Beneath the shoe cabinet, space was specifically designated for a robotic vacuum and a regular vacuum cleaner, adding practicality to the home.

Given that the homeowners have two young children, a play area was also designed with a Lego board for fun and creativity. This playful corner became a small playground, allowing the kids to enjoy their time at home.

Several pain points from the original layout were also addressed. Previously, the flow of movement was restricted, with limited hallway space, and the refrigerator couldn’t fit in the kitchen. After redesigning, the layout became smoother, with an added appliance and snack cabinet next to the dining table. The refrigerator was relocated to the kitchen, making the entire space feel cozier and optimizing its functionality.

Living Room

The living room, the heart of family activities, was designed with a "no main light" concept. AR frameless square recessed lights were selected, complementing the indirect lighting from the mounted strip lights above. This combination softly illuminates the living room, casting a delicate light on the textured walls, adding a sense of warmth and elegance. The homeowner can adjust the brightness as desired, creating different moods in the living area.

Kitchen

The kitchen emphasizes functionality, so proper brightness is the main consideration. AR frameless square recessed lights were installed, and their high color rendering index (CRI) ensures the homeowner can see the true colors and freshness of food while cooking. This makes cooking a more enjoyable experience.

Entrance

The entrance sets the first impression for homeowners and guests alike. Aluminum channel lights were used here, providing even lighting that pairs well with the entrance mirror and minimalist design. Each time the homeowner returns, they are greeted with an elegant, hotel-like ambiance, offering a welcoming and cozy atmosphere for guests as well.

Bathroom

The bathroom features 15cm Sol Recessed Lights, providing bright and ample lighting that enhances both safety and comfort in the space.
